The PROTOS Distinction
In the past decades, studying abroad has become a new trend in China. Many Chinese families now hope that their children grow to be globally minded and equipped.
The PROTOS team, based in the United States, is comprised of individuals who themselves who immigrated to America in their teen years during the early 1980s. We personally understand the difficulties of culture shock and the fear of speaking a new language, and we especially understand the struggles and differences one faces between Chinese and Western cultures. In our immediate surroundings, we have witnessed the lives of many children who traveled alone from China: engulfed in extreme loneliness they seek for their peers’ approval, then they lose direction, get sidetracked, mixed in with the wrong crowds, succumb to the influence of negative behaviors, develop bad habits, and become more and more estranged from their parents. This picture is not what parents and children originally expected. Thus, as people who have personally experienced this immigrant journey, we established an educational consulting services company, PROTOS Bridging International, in California. Our goal is to bring up a new generation of future leaders who are ready to make positive contributions to society.
